The hiring standard
A credential with a real consumer.
Bulletproof Automations uses BCAB as its own minimum competency standard for automation roles. We publish that, because a certification nobody hires against is worth less than one somebody does.
BCAB is a minimum standard for automation roles at Bulletproof Automations. Holding it does not constitute an application, offer, or guarantee of employment.
What the builder pool is
It is a record of people who have demonstrated the standard — not a job board, not an agency, and not a queue you advance through by waiting.
Holding BCAB means an assessor has watched you take an unseen requirement, build a solution, diagnose a system you did not write, and explain why your design can be trusted. That is the thing an employer actually wants to know, and it is the thing a portfolio of finished work cannot show on its own.
When Bulletproof Automations has automation work to staff, BCAB holders are where we look first. That is the whole of the mechanism. There is no separate application, no membership, and nothing to pay for.
How hiring is kept out of assessment
Being both the body that certifies and a company that hires is a conflict of interest. Pretending otherwise would be worse than naming it, so three controls apply and they are published.
- Separation of decisions. Certification outcomes are determined solely against the published framework. Hiring interest, or its absence, is not a factor in any assessment decision and is not discussed with the assessor before an outcome is issued.
- No implied employment. Certification is not an offer, promise, or indication of employment. No marketing material for the pathway may suggest that certification leads to work at Bulletproof Automations.
- Documented basis. Because outcomes may affect employment prospects, the per-domain score record, mandatory second review, and appeals route apply without exception.
Where an assessor also taught the candidate, second review applies to every outcome, not only borderline ones.
What this is not
- Not a job guarantee. It is a standard we hire against, not a promise we will hire you.
- Not a placement service. We do not represent holders to other employers or take a fee for introductions.
- Not a reason to certify. If the only value of BCAB to you is a job at Bulletproof Automations, it is the wrong reason to sit it.
- Not yet populated. The first assessments are sat from . Nobody holds BCAB today.

This page will grow as the first cohort is assessed and the pool becomes real — how holders are listed, what employers other than us can see, and what holders control about their own entry. Those decisions are better made with holders than announced at them.
